YouthEat is a WYC-Fairview Health collaboration program. This working group introduces young people to healthy food options and ensures that healthy food is available to all youth and their families. YouthEat connects young people to a network of healthy food options and resources. All members respect each other's cultural differences in terms of relationships and a wide range of food. As part of the YouthEat initiative, 18 World Youth Connects members work once a week to pack meal boxes that will be delivered to needy families. This is an example of the interdisciplinary work we do, combining workforce development activities with education about healthy food choices. Together with Fairview Health Services, The East Side Table program provides all of our members with the opportunity to attend ServSafe manager-level training for free and receive a certificate.
